I scream, you scream… and it’s only the start of the silly season.
If your chest is beginning to tighten at the impending volume of festivities, it’s time to stop, breathe, and prioritise.
Remember, simplicity is your BFF, especially at this time of year. Over-committing to social events; putting a strain on your finances; or living up to the expectations of others is a well-trodden path to misery.
If you’re feeling the pressure, take some simple steps to alleviate it. Ask for help, cut back, or simply say ‘no’. Put your needs (and sanity) at the top of your Christmas list, and take back the reins, so you can enjoy the true spirit of the season.
So, what’s this got to do with banana ice cream? Not a lot. But, with the mercury rising metaphorically and literally, this simple recipe is too delicious not to share. Oh, and did I mention healthy?
Ingredients:
- All those over-ripe bananas throughout the year that didn’t make the cake (make sure they go into the freezer chopped and peeled)
- Ice
Method:
- Chuck it all into a food processor, or use a stick blender and pulse until smooth and creamy
- Serve immediately, or pop it back into the freezer until ready
Easy peasy!
p.s. This isn’t my own recipe, but the photos are, and it literally took five minutes to create.
I was lucky enough to taste the final result after watching it being made – delicious. So was the main meal.
